Red Hot Fishing in Miami This Week
This week fishing off Miami has been the best we have seen this season. The Sailfish fishing bite is going off ! We are catching Multiple Sailfish on half day charters . The Sailfish are in 90′ to almost 400′ of water off Miami Beach. That less than 3 miles from our Marina. The Mahi Mahi (Dolphin Fish) fishing has just been spectacular. We are catching gaffer size fish averaging 10 – 15lbs. We are also seeing quite a few Dolphin Fish “Slammers”in the 30lb plus range. The Mahi Mahi have been from right on the reef out to about 900 feet of water. We are also catching a mix of Blackfin and Skipjack Tuna out in the same area
Kings & Sailfish on the Reefs
On the Reef we are catching some nice sized Kingfish along with the Sailfish. The Shark fishing has also been great. Capt. Manny caught a 600lbs plus Tiger Shark this week. Along with a few Hammer Head and Silky Sharks. We are finding the Sharks just out side the deep reef . The trolling action has been productive every day. We have also had great action slow trolling live baits. Goggle Eyes, Blue Runners, Cigar Minnows, Thread Herring and Pilchards have been the baits of choice.
